Eight 1-point checks that appear on Canvas sporadically through the term, enacted in class on days that are not announced in advance. The way to get them is simple: be in class.

📋 What to do

Be in class. There are 8 attendance checks over the term, each worth 1 point. They are undated: they appear on Canvas sporadically and are enacted in class on days we do not announce ahead of time.
When a check opens, it will show up in your Canvas assignments during that class session.
Submit the check while it is open. That is the whole activity — there is nothing to prepare and nothing to bring.
Distance students: the corresponding check for your section follows the usual distance-learning window, the same as your other activities.
Because the checks are unannounced, there is no way to make one up after the fact. Attending regularly is how you collect all 8.

Submit on Canvas (1 pt each) — graded on completion; your deadline is on the Canvas assignment.
