Activity: Code It (Probability)

📋 What to do

  1. Complete Learning Check 1 from the textbook chapter Probability Functions.
  2. The question: if you are not certain that an unobserved vector of visits is Poisson-distributed, calculate the probability that customers stop at more than 5 stalls using the appropriate functions for the (1) Normal, (2) Gamma, and (3) Exponential distributions.
  3. Comment your code extensively, line by line, in your own words.
  4. Add 1–2 sentences summarizing your answer, in comments, clearly marked.
  5. Please do not submit AI-generated commenting — that defeats the point of the exercise.
  6. Paste your commented code and your summary into the Canvas text box. Graded on completion, not correctness.
