Coding Exercises: Process Control Functions

An in-class activity from the course slides — reproduced here so you can find it again after class.

📋 What to do

  1. Exercise 1: Copy and read through functions_process_control.R from Github. What do dn and bn do? What does ggprocess do? What does ggs do? What does ggr do?
  2. Exercise 2: Pick a quality metric from our onsen dataset, and generate averages, standard deviation, and range plots using our helper functions. Describe your process.

📮 Submit

Share your plots and description in recitation, then submit them on CANVAS (1 pt) — graded on completion.

Note: work from this page — it is where the activity and its links (slide decks, shared materials) are maintained, and details may still be refined before class. Submission happens on Canvas, and so do the due date and your grade.
