Activity: Practice It (Lifespan Under Normal Use)
A short practice set on translating accelerated-life-test results back into lifespan under normal operating conditions.
📋 What to do
- Open the practice activity from the Canvas assignment. It launches in its own window — there is nothing to download.
- You will be given results from an acceleration model: a fitted relationship between stress level (temperature, voltage, load, or similar) and time to failure.
- Use the acceleration factor to convert an accelerated-test lifespan into the expected lifespan under normal use conditions.
- Work through each item, showing the quantity you computed and the units it is in. Getting the units wrong is the most common way this calculation goes sideways.
- Sanity-check your answer: a normal-use lifespan should be longer than the accelerated-test lifespan, by roughly the acceleration factor.
- Credit is for completing the practice, not for getting every item right.
